My sister, Lara, gave us a great idea. She told us to take our weekly photographs of Sloane, ie how much has she grown, with our chicken. She said there was no way Sloane would want the chicken when she grows up, so since we "dig" it, us it.

Before becoming a parent, I didn't understand parents who, when asked how old their kiddos were, answered in weeks or months (4 weeks instead of a month - 11 months instead of a year), but now, I get it! Who wants their little cherub to grow up faster than necessary? I was sad to see the preemie sized clothing go away, depressed to say goodbye to the newborn items...I just might have to be locked up when she grows out of the T's.
